According to the reviews, the one for $120, is flimsy. Lots of good reviews too. So hard to know who is right.
I was thinking if I build a new computer, I'd use one of their cases. But I think I'll just get Cooler Master again. Probably a bigger one, so I can fit two NZXT water coolers in it, one for CPU and one for GPU.
Video card gets up to 80C when playing games. I think somebody got their video card down to 60C with a water cooler, that's better then 80C.
Decrease your mouse speed, my mouse has buttons to adjust it in games. If you aren't using a gaming mouse, that's your problem. Buy a cheap one, like a Cooler Master, good enough for me.
Looks like my mouse isn't for sale anymore, not directly from Amazon, so not as cheap.
Get a NZXT water cooler. The 80 dollar one will work good enough for the AMD 6300. The highest temp I've had is 31.6C, according to the CAM software. My CPU isn't overclocked though. I don't put much load on my computer, so it could go higher. I should play a game for a while and see if it goes higher.
My old water cooler was at 35C when browsing the web. New cooler stays under 30C, I've never opened the CAM software and saw it in the 30s. 20C might be the max I've seen it at. I have two fans on mine, used one of the old fans from my old cooler.
Temperature doesn't go down right away, didn't even play The Elder Scrolls Online very long. Was sitting at 24C-25C.
If you do anything in Chrome it goes to 20C-21C.
Max temperature increased to 32.1C.
Even though my computer kind of sucks. I'm getting under 40 FPS in Titanfall on the ultra settings, or whatever settings the NVIDIA GeForce Experience picks. It doesn't lag, but The Elder Scrolls Online does, it drops down to under 30 FPS.
Looks like my CPU is cool enough, the max it's been with the new water cooler is 31.6C. I could probably overclock, but I think I'll pass. Doubt it'll get rid of lag in The Elder Scrolls Online.
Barely use the one I have. No point in buying a new one to have it collect dust.
I just gave them 50 bucks. No idea when or if the bill will be changed to the new amount. I think they said my balance was around 40, so my bill next month will be less then 50 bucks.
I got sick of waiting, so I sent them the money. Maybe I won't keep checking to see if the bill has been updated now.
Want to pay 50 bucks a month for 6 mbps internet? Comcast is what you want. If you want 50 mbps, that'll cost you almost 80 bucks a month. Apparently they don't offer 105 mbps for almost 80 bucks anymore. I was on the 105 mbps plan, and at some point they lowered my speed and increased my bill.
When you try to downgrade or ask why your bill is still almost 80 bucks, they will try to sell you something. They claim their site has to synchronize with the billing system. So if it doesn't synchronize before it's due, I won't be paying. I'm not paying almost 80 bucks for 6 mbps internet. Just not happening, I'd rather have no internet in that case.
Must be because I was using my hackintosh until the new cooler came. Once you use something slow, a faster computer will seem much faster.
The fix is simple, if your chipset is VL800, use the driver from Syba's site. The latest driver didn't want to work. Not sure if my USB 3.0 Lexar flash drive will work though, it seemed to work only after updating the driver, wasn't running the driver from Syba's site before though.
My NZXT X31 water cooler came today.
I'll install it after dinner. That'll be a while, just turned the oven on.
The cooler appears to work. But my USB 3.0 card no longer works in Windows.
The VIA USB 3 Root Hub says "This device cannot start. (Code 10)". I tried removing the driver, and using an old driver. Nothing works. Turned computer off and unplugged it and flipped the switch, that didn't work either. I can't access my external drives with no USB 3.0. Only my eSATA drive.
Fixed it by using the driver from Syba's site.
Oh yeah it came with thermal paste already on it. I used it, that way I didn't have to guess how much to put on. I don't care about the brand of thermal paste.
The silent mode doesn't work at all. Still loud as fuck. Maybe I plugged the fans into the wrong connectors. Wouldn't think it would matter. Probably won't replace either of the fans. I think it must be the new fan, or is the pump? I think it is the pump actually. Sounds similar to the sound before, just louder.
The radiator didn't work plugged into my four pin CPU fan connector. Also the instructions say to use the already attached Intel bracket, it doesn't line up to the standoffs on my AMD motherboard. I took it off, and had to search Google to figure out how to put the bracket on. There's a video that sort of shows how to do it. I probably didn't put it on correctly, moved a little. Guess if my temps go up, I'll know why. The radiator is plugged into my 3 pin SYS fan connector.
