If the voltage isn't right, you'll have odd issues, like no video. Odd, that everything turns on though, all the fans.
Not enough voltage, and it won't be able to fully boot.
And I thought Enermax was the best brand.
If it's the power supply, I have a semi defective Cooler Master, that might get it to boot, and if she wants to fix it, I'll just have her get a cheap EVGA. No point in paying more for Enermax.
I had a Antec that was like five years old and was still working, rebuilt a computer with that PSU.
I have a power supply tester too, but it's semi useless, the Cooler Master is fine according to the tester, you need a load to be able to see anything. In her case, it might say something is wrong, considering it won't even boot.
Don't remember what the Cooler Master was doing, something to do with the GPU, probably not giving it enough power. So it could be fine in her computer, the GPU doesn't even need power other then the slot. But, I'd still buy a new PSU.
Nope, no video with a different PSU either. Boohoo. She might buy my Mac mini for $150 though. I'll buy a new one for $140 a month for five months.
