Remember, AC resetting to 80 is normal

It's only 76.5F in here. I lowered the AC to 70F many times today, it keeps resetting to 80.

The dog is sick and hot. Can I bill the apartment for the vet bill when I take her?

The AC thinks it's 73F in here.

And it's under 70F now, I opened a window. No idea why the AC was turning on. Must think it's over 70F.

That episode of Property Brothers looked like shit

The commercials looked fine, didn't really watch the commercials, you can skip em in Philo.

Expedition Unknown looked fine, and that was on warm color temperature, watched that yesterday or the day before, or the day before before.

Saints Row: The Third looks fine.

I tried increasing the brightness, but it still looked like shit, decreased the brightness, that didn't do much either.

They need a new video camera person. Or somebody to edit the footage and make the colors look better. Funny though, when they don't show reality, it looks fine. They show the remodel plan on a computer or something.

Was that puke or shit?

There was something on the ground in my closet. Not very much light in there, so I don't know what it was. Wonder how long it's been there.

She did have the runs when I took her out a while ago.

She didn't eat her food today either.

I wonder if it's the stuff she said to give her. Or the expired easy cheese stuff.

Apple will only give me $200 for my iPhone 7 now

That's a bummer, it was $250 last time I looked. Google might give you more if you trade it in and buy a Pixel 3a.

Now, the iPhone XR costs over $500.

Google's trade in will give me $243.

To bad, OnePlus doesn't have a trade in.

I found a site with the Atomic Pi in stock

But the baby breakout board is sold out. Good luck turning it on without that.

I'd buy it, but no power makes it useless.

The shipping would be $7.17. Might as well wait for it to be in stock on Amazon.

Are they really not getting more of the breakout boards till the end of June? You can't buy just the breakout board on Amazon, or their store site.

Where is everybody ordering the breakout boards from? If wasn't sold out, you could buy the board and the breakout board, but not just the breakout board. Just go to their catalog, and you won't find any breakout boards.

There is another way, solder the ground and the 5v to the pins.

What power supply has a ground and a 5v wire? I don't want to cut off the barrel jack, and guess which one is 5v and ground.

Jerks are basically buying a bunch of breakout boards, and selling them for a high price. Ha, that comment recommends a UK site. That would be some slow ass shipping, apparently not everybody on lives in the US.

Not good advice, you have to order that from China, or the UK, both slow ass shipping. Might as well wait for the breakout board to be in stock.

You have to call them at the phone number in the FAQ/support pages to purchase the breakout boards

That's how you buy just the breakout board. To much work and their site is dead.

So trying to see what their site says about powering it, is impossible.

Somebody claims you can power it with "bradboard jumpers", I searched Google, and it found "breadboard jumpers". Now, what power supply do you buy?

Good idea, buy the board, sell it on eBay for $50. I can't use it, I don't know how to solder, or where to solder, they deleted their site. I'd have to sell it for more then $50, the shipping is $7.17.

Does anybody plan on selling cases for it? 3D printing isn't very cheap. Might as well buy one already made.

People aren't open to the idea, that there were more advanced civilizations before the Maya

Just watch the newest Expedition Unknown. They couldn't date the crystal skull, therefore, saying it was made in modern time can't be proved.

If the only proof you have, is it was made with machinery, that they didn't have when it was claimed to be made, you're a closed minded fool. There was plenty of advanced civilizations before us.

You really think people build the pyramids by dragging the blocks with ropes? Oh wait, I guess people might not of made that anyways. If they cut the blocks by hand, the pyramids would be a mess.

I wonder what happened to Atlantis. Some guy got coordinates to Atlantis, from touching some craft. It was in binary code. They never found any remains of Atlantis. They knew the coordinates before he got them. Or I assume they did. Something about survival. Don't remember exactly what the binary code translated to.

Can't find the binary code I was thinking of, found some other one, don't know if it's the same one. No idea what show it was on either. Might be the one I found, but doesn't say anything about coordinates.

But it sounds like humans will cease to exist, thanks to world governments for not telling everybody everything they know.

I already know we go to Mars, and get nuked on Mars. Some lady that could tell the future said so, she gets it right 80% of the time or something. She's not alive anymore. She claims she got the knowledge from other worldly beings.

Some people would say my TV looks better then my monitor

But it's missing details in Saints Row: The Third, don't know if it's the game mode setting, or Steam. Or the TV.

And I think the Steam Link app on the Apple TV supports higher then 1080p.

Go to advanced settings, and you can change the max resolution. I changed it to my monitor's, which is less then the TV.

That could be the problem with detail, it's not running at it's native resolution, so it's probably upscaling it.

Buy a 4k monitor, then I might be able to stream at 4k. Or get a 4k HDMI extender over IP, open steam on the TV, and then use the Apple TV to stream it. Will there be input lag?

Is there a fake display that you can open Steam in? So it can have 4k?

Don't use the warm color temperature. Probably only good if the lights are off.

ModSecurity isn't enabled

Looks like it hasn't been, since I switched to OpenLiteSpeed. Do I have to compile the ModSecurity module, or does whatever DirectAdmin install have it?

It has it, run "ls /usr/local/lsws/modules", and if you are lucky, you will see it.

The instructions on the OpenLiteSpeed Wiki, don't work, and neither does adding "include /usr/local/lsws/conf/httpd-modsecurity-enable.conf" to the httpd_config.conf file or "httpd-includes.conf". The log files don't exist.

Good luck, looks like OpenLiteSpeed doesn't support ModSecurity, at least not with DirectAdmin.

It's not even attempting to enable it. "systemctl status litespeed" says nothing, maybe if I enter bogus stuff in the "httpd-modsecurity.conf" file it'll fail to start. Nothing, it's ignoring the file.

Can't open /usr/local/lsws/conf/extra/httpd-modsecurity.conf: No such file or directory.

How do I get that file? The extra folder doesn't exist.

There's "/usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/configure/openlitespeed/conf/httpd-modsecurity.conf", and that's the same as "/usr/local/lsws/conf/httpd-modsecurity.conf".

So I guess just make the extra folder, and copy or ls to the other file.

No errors with "/usr/local/directadmin/custombuild/build modsecurity", but still no ModSecurity.

Selected WEB platform LiteSpeed is not supported

There you go, OpenLiteSpeed isn't supported.

rm -rf /usr/local/cwaf
rm -rf /etc/cwaf

That's how you get it to attempt at installing it.

Disabled ModSecurity, since it doesn't support LiteSpeed.

Don't think recording a game using OBS or something running on the TV with the HDMI extender over IP will show input lag

The video would probably look fine.

Will recording it with a camera at 60 FPS show input lag? I have two slow motion settings, 720p at 240 FPS, and 1080p at 120 FPS, on my phone.

I know what I can record at 240 FPS, that's a topic for a different blog though.

My camera can record 1080p 60p, no need to buy a tripod mount for my phone, and no need for the YI 360 camera. I just looked up the specs on my camera.

It's hotter in my apartment then outside

Opening the window would work better then the AC.

But that's normal for the AC to be shit, just ask the maintenance guy. Resetting to 80, and taking forever to get down to 70F, is just how ACs work.

I'll find out next month if the housing people care about working AC. They might think it's normal too.

YI 360 VR Camera

Do you need a VR headset to view the video with that? It's only $200. I like the cheap YI 42.5mm lens I have for my micro four thirds camera. I bought it on eBay for $100 or so.

Want to take two videos, one showing Saints Row: The Third on the Apple TV using Steam Link, and the other the HDMI extender over IP. Can't hold my phone while I'm playing a game. And I'm to lazy to look for something to hold it. I could record the ceiling, while I play games. It's easier to pay $200.

And then I can be naked while I play the game, it has two lens, one on each side. Can't upload that to YouTube though.

I'll be a famous naked man playing video games.

They don't appear to sell the straws for my Simple Modern bottle

Not on the Simple Modern site. The only accessories are lids. But that's a good idea, switch to a chug lid, no straw needed. Might make a mess on my face, since I'll forget there's no straw.

They do have straws on their site, just search for straws. Six dollars for four straws. It'd be cheaper to cut the one I found, that is to long. It's not as fat either, but it didn't fall out. Just couldn't close the lid with it.

Those straws don't mention my bottle.

And I can't cut the straw I found, didn't sound good when I was about to with scissors, probably bust the entire straw.

I put the straw in some soapy water. Cup isn't tall enough though, I'll have to flip the straw. Might be to late for that to work. Unless I leave it in the water for 12 hours.

Don't buy the chug, it'll leak, even if the reviews say it doesn't. Sometimes when shaking mine, it leaks, that's with the straw lid.

You might get mold too. I probably would, I only rinse my straw lid out now. There could be mold in it, that I can't see. That's healthy.

There was something on the lid, might be drink mix. Or mold. Should get a bottle cleaning brush, using a sponge blows. The only way to clean the bottle is with soapy water, without a brush.

TV looks better

But not exactly like my monitor. Probably would have to change the advanced settings, but seeing as I don't know what those settings are, I wouldn't know which one to change.

And Steam compresses it, there's lost detail on the TV. My HDMI extender over IP obviously compresses the video too, it's only 100 Mbps. How much bandwidth does 720p HDMI use? Probably more then 100 Mbps.

The only point in any HDMI extender, is if you are plugging something that isn't a computer into it.

I had to change the color to warm, and increase the color setting, and decrease the brightness and backlight.

Increasing color probably isn't "realistic", but that's how my monitor looks.

Oh yeah, and game mode, decreases the image quality. Funny, earlier I didn't even have that turned on, on the Apple TV input.

That's the easiest way to make your TV look better, make it almost match a BenQ monitor. Every BenQ monitor I've seen looks good. Even my cheap under $100 refurbished one. This one is only 24" I think, and it probably cost more then my shitty 27" Dell. A bigger monitor won't necessarily look better. If I paid $400 for the 27" monitor, it might look as good.

If you don't like input lag

Use Steam Link, there's an app for the Apple TV. It's available on Android too.

It might be limited to 1080p, changed the game to 1440p, but I don't think it changed on the TV. Maybe my TV doesn't do that resolution.

So, the network is fine, and that's with powerline adapters. It said only 35 MB/s, the software in Windows, says it's over 1000 Mbps for the powerline adapters. Either the Apple TV has shitty ethernet, or the switch over there is shit. The HDMI extender over IP, is only 100 Mbps, so if it's slowing it down, wouldn't it only slow other stuff down by 10 MB/s or so?

Only one person uses my network, so I doubt anything else is slowing it down. I only use one thing at a time. Computer isn't downloading anything.

Guess those extenders are only good for video. I should sell it, or send it back to Amazon if I can. But I'm lazy, so I'll just use it with Kodi. Useless for 4k movies, the max resolution is 1080p. and if you use 1080p, it has delay, probably encoding it to 30 FPS.

Steam Link app now available on iOS, a year after initially being rejected by App Store | - The Independent Video Game Community

Last year, Valve released the Steam Link app for mobile, allowing users to stream their PC games to their phone or tablet. Except, a week prior to the… — Read on

Finally. Does the Steam Controller work with it? I’ll install it on my Apple TV.

Guess I didn’t need my HDMI extender over IP. I’ll still use it for Kodi.

The Steam Controller works, didn’t play a game yet. Trying to figure out why xscreensaver won’t shutoff the monitor, if I wake it up, and exit the login prompt. Google is useless. Just bump the keyboard tray, and the monitor will be blank forever, not off. Chromium is most likely keeping it awake, just like somebody said on Google.

That would explain why the monitor is off when I wake up and Chromium isn’t running. Oh wait, maybe not, as I closed Chromium earlier, and when I got back, the monitor wasn’t off. Does Steam keep the monitor on?

It’s Steam, closed Chromium but not Steam, monitor wouldn’t turn off, closed Steam, and monitor turned off. Now I have to close Steam when not in use. That’s a bummer. The easiest way if it’s on my TV, is by running killall -9 steam. That’s better then turning the TV on.

Link updated to the actual article, not their homepage. Apparently sharing it in iOS, just gave it a link to the homepage, not the article.

The counselor asked me what I wanted to be doing when I'm 35

I won't be alive then, I should of said that. I won't live much longer then Tonka. Will probably get murdered.

Damn, a 10 TB external drive costs $300. I'll need that for the x86 Pi. WesternDick is cheaper, about $200. Seagate is cheaper then $300, but more then the WD.

I might of made her mad

Apparently giving mixed signals, and running away, won't make people happy.

Why? I don't even exist.
