I suppose buying an Android phone, not made by Google, and putting a ROM on it, that removes all Google shit, would be better then nothing. You just got to find a non Pixel phone capable of running the ROM you want.
The Librem 5 can be bought refurbished for $649. Wait enough months, and I can buy that.
I got a better option, hack my iPhone, and port Linux to it. Too much work, you’d have to reverse engineer a lot of shit to do that. But it might piss Apple off. That would be the only reason to do so. Instead I just won’t give anymore money to Nazi supporters like Apple.

Depending on bands, may have issues with T-Mobile. I don’t care enough about 5G to keep it. But I won’t switch my provider. Which uses T-Mobile.
Hmm, anbox, probably runs Android in Linux, or on Linux phones. And that was four years ago, do bank apps work? I wouldn’t trust a third party source APK for a bank app though.
Hmm, if it only has 3G it won’t work too good on T-Mobile. Looks like LTE, which is 4G I think.
Oh and I need a SIM card, since I doubt it has eSIM. Bummer. Maybe buy it to mess around with instead. See if the browser is fast enough, if so, then ask Tello for a SIM card. Or just have two phones, get a no data plan, and use a hotspot from the Nazi iPhone.
