The only reason I got the one I got, was for the Bluetooth output, and it no longer works. It’s either connecting to who knows what, or just doesn’t work anymore. No records yet, was listening to the radio, the other reason I bought it.
I could get a Bluetooth transmitter, but that’s around $30. Not sure I care enough. I might just let it collect dust, and do nothing with it. Too lazy to send it back, and it’s massive.
If you just want a record player, somebody said to buy the 1 by ONE Belt Drive Turntable with Bluetooth Connectivity, Built-in Phono Pre-amp, USB Digital Output Vinyl Stereo Record Player with Magnetic Cartridge, 33 or 45 RPM for less than I paid.
Ahh software radio it is, sucks cause it uses CPU. Might make games perform worse sometimes. Also, too lazy to stream it from something else, and use the CPU of the other device instead of the computer playing a game.
That’s what I get for being lazy, junk. Now to lookup the thing to stream the software radio, it’s a command line program.
All the Bluetooth output does is blink, then stops blinking, like it’s connected to something, can’t figure out what. Also, can’t figure out what the cable coming out of the back is for, is that an antenna? No fucking idea. I unplugged the junk from the outlet. Had to put it on the thing the soundbar is on, don’t think any of my shelf’s are big enough. It isn’t heavy, another sign it’s junk. And the buttons feel cheap, like junk.
I should have looked for a Bluetooth output radio instead. But I’ll just stream it over my network, since that’s free.
Don’t believe Amazon reviews, they are all lies. Look it up on Reddit, the brand name. They say it’s junk too, and it is.
1Mii B06TX is a Bluetooth transmitter.
Supposedly, Victrola will wear out records sooner too. I couldn’t get it to connect to my computer, my headphones worked at first, not anymore. If it connected to my computer, I might be able to listen to the radio and play a game. But the multipoint bluetooth on headphones is useless, doesn’t play sound from two things at once. Another option, would be a long ass cable. And plug into soundcard.
Hmmmm, that might be cheaper then that transmitter, but plug into one of the SBCs, if they have a line in input, or use a USB thing. Then stream that over the network. Easier to just stream software radio over the network, no cable needed. I have everything needed. Well, I might have a cable somewhere, or used to.
Got network streaming working using this a working fork of this.
I was going to use some NodeJS crap, but was taking too long, and probably only does mono. Now I wonder how to uninstall all that nodeJS crap. I’m lazy. Too lazy to type sudo apt remove nodejs npm and then the autoremove command. I ran the commands anyways.
Now the router can stream music too.
To play stereo on 105.7M, use http://xxx:8001/105700000/1. Works great, and might kill the router, if it gets too hot. Nice. Then I can buy a new small computer. Under 20% CPU, probably fine. And that installs a service file, so you never have to SSH into it. I’m using VLC, a browser could work, no idea, didn’t try.
Now that’s better then the Victrola crap. Which might still work for records. But still need a FM transmitter. I’ll see if my mom sends the one she bought back. Same model as mine. Might be a bad thing. Does she need the radio? If not, buy the 1 by ONE Belt Drive Turntable with Bluetooth Connectivity, it’s cheaper.
