First two DRM eBooks bought

Bought directly from Gwen Cooper. I remembered I bought a book once, directly from the author, and they sent me a PDF. I was a happy camper. There’s DRM free eBook stores, but might not be able to find what you’re looking for. I won’t buy DRM books.

Amazon likely will never sell DRM books. Why would they? Too much money, to keep DRM. They can release an update to all internet connected Kindle’s, and make a bunch or all the books on it, unreadable. Good reason to keep Kindle in airplane mode. Oh wait, the library has eBooks. Might be easier to put it on Kindle, if it’s connected to internet.

Didn’t need the BookFunnel app either. Downloaded the ePub from a web browser in Linux. I can view it in Calibre just fine. Waiting for shitty Kindle to charge.

DRM can or used to be removable from Amazon’s eBooks. But now I can’t download the eBook from a browser. Too much work. Easier to buy a proper book.

Oddly the radio station I listen to started working today finally. Thought it was rtl_tcp, SDR++ couldn’t get a good signal either, wasn’t all static though.
